In the world of poker, Randy Lew is well known for his ability to play online and many were really happy to find out that he made it to the last in his latest tournament. Randy has earned great sums of money playing poker over the internet and he has also defeated a lot of people in some major poker tables.
The Casino Grand Lisboan in Macao was the host for the Asian Pacific Poker Tour and there were 575 players. Each of them had to pay an entry fee of at least three thousand dollars and this turned this tournament into one of the most disputed championships of the world. This event was also followed by many poker fans, because important players registered and many wanted to see them play. One of these famous players, who returned to the live poker tables after being away for a while, was Phil Ivey who attracted quite a few fans.
When Randy arrived at the final table, he was definitely not chip leader and things did not look good for him, compared to his adversaries. Some of the big poker hands are played in the last moments of every tournament and this is why many believe that Randy is one of the best poker players alive today. He was the lowest in chips and he still managed to become the champion, which only proves that he is a great player in real life poker tables and online as well.
Randy had a great moment of luck when he had pair of queens and his rival had a pair of aces. In the communitarian cards, another queen appeared and this gave the hand to Lew. This gave him the opportunity to double his chips and from then on his knowledge about this sport led him to success. It was incredible to watch how this player was able to go from last player in chips to the winner and this is probably why so many people adore him.
Streicke and Ten Tai Zhang where the first players, to be eliminated from the final table, in this event and Daniel Nordstrom was the next player to be eliminated; he lost all of his money to Jeff Rossiter in a very interesting hand. It was also Rossiter who eliminated the German player Fabian Spielmann, but only minutes later Randy was able to take away all of Rossiter’s chips. This Australian player left the tournament in third place and Randy was left only against Pan.
It did not take long until Randy was able to take a short advantage in chips, because these two players where very close when they began the heads up event. Even though Pan did lose some chips, Randy was still not able to take away all of them for quite some while. In the final hand, both players went all in and Randy defeated Pan with two pairs over top pair.
The top five players in this event, where Randy Lew, Jimmy Pan, Jeffrey Rossiter, Fabian Spielmann and Zuo Wang; the last player took home over one hundred thousand dollars and Lew took home nearly half a million dollars. Playing poker has never been as profitable and if you have the skills or the nerves to play in one of these tournaments, you can certainly earn some nice sums just like him. Competing against the best is not easy and making some incredible amounts of money in poker is definitely no longer a dream. Randy Lew has demonstrated all poker fans, that becoming champion by playing online can be done and this is why so many young poker players are now being seen at some major events.
